Memoirs of a Drama Queen

The Cook's invited our family over on Christmas Eve Eve for a yummy fondue dinner and nativity reenactment. The food was delicious and when you are in the presence of the Cook's there is always a good time to be had. Here's the kiddo table. Look at all those handsome boys! The only girls were Eden & Lillie...which mean the roles of Mary & an Angel would be filled by the two. Not a big deal, right? At least your not a shepherd or something? WRONG.... Lillie REALLY wanted to be Mary. I tried everything to convince her that an Angel was a top notch role (you get to wear glitter...a pretty hat...you are standing above everyone). Just look at that pouty face!
And then she lost it... Don't be fooled. That's not the Hallejujah chorus this three year old is singing.
Since Brawley wanted a turn to be Joseph, we went for round 2 and let Lillie be Mary. I normally wouldn't let her do it, but she was the only other girl, so she got her chance to shine for a moment. What a turkey.
Despite the drama, we had such a great time! We missed Cory, who had to work, but hopefully we'll do it again, so he'll have a chance to be there.

That is too funny. We had a arguement over who got to be the angel!
