We spent an afternoon together as a family at Dead Horse Ranch State Park (how's that for a name?) last Saturday. It was such a nice day, so we decided we needed to go on a hike and a picnic. The State Park is just outside of Cottonwood, and we had never been there, so it was a new experience for all of us.
Cory is the BEST DAD! He was right there in the action with Lillie all afternoon. He made her a bow out of some twine and a willow and taught her how to shoot an arrow.
He showed her different animal tracks along the trail.
They played with some cat tails along the river.
He played in the sand with her, showed her the horses, played on the swings (and taught Lillie how to pump her legs to go higher), and played pretend as we walked through the "jungle". He's just a big kid, and I LOVE it! It was the BEST DAY!
