She lived a good life...

Cory's grandmother passed away on March 31st. She was 89 years old, so she had lived a long, good life. She raised her family in a small town called Junction in Central Utah. Despite the circumstances, it was a good family reunion for the Ipson family. Cory was able to reunite with cousins that he hadn't seen in years, plus his brother Wade surprised everyone by coming to town from California. Internment services at the Junction cemetery. It was bitter cold- the wind was just bone chilling. I was a bit nervous about having Abby in that weather, but Baby Bjorn's are amazing! We helped keep eachother warm.
Cory's Dad, Joe, with his siblings. From eldest to youngest: Linda (holding flower), Joe (glasses), RueThella (dressed in black), and twins David and Mary (in blue).
The Joseph Ipson Family. We are missing Wade's family (back in California) and Trent's fiance Dani. What a good family.
Outside of Junction, just off the highway is the house Butch Cassidy was raised in. It's the teeny tiny house on the left. That's pretty cool.

All in all, the trip to Junction was memorable. The funeral services were lovely, and the food scrumptious. The Relief Society was so wonderful to have a warm lunch waiting for us when we got back from the cemetery. It was a sacrifice for them to do that, because it was on Conference Saturday, but the people were amazing. There's something about funerals that cause me to reflect my own life - I wonder what would be said at my funeral, who would attend, and how I would be remembered. Is that morbid? It makes me want to be a better person - I enjoyed learning about Cory's heritage and the neat person Rula Ipson was.

Oh I'm sorry to hear about her passing, but it sounds like she had a long and happy life. Some of our best family reunions are at funerals too!

WOW--about Butch Cassidy's house. That's cool!
