Spring Break with the Welly's

We had a great time with the Welly's over Spring Break a few weeks back. We had originally planned on going to Rocky Pointe, Mexico (about 6 hours south of where we live), but decided against it with how young Abby is, how far along Niki is in her pregnancy, and not to mention the riots that had been going on...major bummer, because Rocky Pointe is so much fun!
So at the last minute we decided to rent a cabin for a couple of nights in Heber (Eastern AZ). We ate at a yummy local restaurant "The Red Onion". The kids were so wired from the long drive, so it wasn't exactly a calm sit down dinner with adult conversation... Here's the cabin we stayed in - two bedrooms. It was small, but cozy! We had Cory's yummy dutch oven potatoes and Nate grilled some of his elk steaks.

The kids all looked like Pig Pen - they were so dirty! Don't you love Braden's fashion statement? - that's one fancy head band!!!

We had so much fun! The best was staying up late and playing "Hearts" after putting the kids down. The local doughnuts were delicious and we went for a good ride on the rhinos!

We stopped by the fish hatchery on our way home - Lil' and Braden loved to feed the fish.
